4 iMovie Reflections!! :]

we got a new assignment to write 4 peer reflections on other iMovies.
Enjoy my blog! (:

Yu Ern and Tem - Tutankhamun

I think they had a quite good introduction, but I didn't really understand the first part. They filmed real life but there was lots of background noise so I couldn't hear there voices very well. For the rest the introduction was good, all the information was in it. The information in the rest of the video is also good, but the information doesn't really flow. What I mean with that is that they first tell us about when he started ruling, but then shortly after it's about his death. Then it goes on with his reign and so on. There are also no transitions between the pictures, so that makes it less interesting to watch. Sometimes there is some background noise, but it doesn't always distract from listening to the voices.

Stephanie and Kennedy - Hatsheput

They had a quite good introduction, they included information about the date Hatsheput started her reign. They started there story about the history well, and there voices were clear. There was quite a bit of information in the rest of the video, but sometimes I couldn't understand what they were saying. They told us in the video how she contributed to Ancient Egypt. There was some stuttering between the sentences, and there were no transitions. I think they could have improved that by practicing more and adding those transitions to make it more interesting. But I must say I could not understand most of the video... Some pictures aren't really good quality like others, but for the rest it's fine.

Maria and Andrea - Ramses II

The introduction is good, it tells me when Ramses II ruled. The information is good, there voices are clear, and the pictures are also good quality. The facts were interesting and they also told me how he contributed to Ancient Egypt and what statues and monuments he built. I think the information was good, but the same as Yu Ern and Tem, it didn't really flow. I mean that first it's about his reign, then about his death, and then it starts again how he contributed to Egypt and so on. Some pictures didn't always match what they were saying, but for the rest I think it was good!

Ashika and Alvin - Nefertiti

The introduction wasn't to bad but I think they could have done better because there introduction is about Ancient Egypt and not Nefertiti. The introduction also doesn't include the time period she ruled in, and that's supposed to be in the introduction. There voices are clear but they spoke VERY FAST. The information rushed by, I hardly can remember anything they said after you saw the video. Sometimes there was some background noise but not to much though. I think they could have practised a bit more because I could hear that they sometimes had problem saying the information. They could have put some more transitions in the video, for the rest I think the movie is good.

Here is the link of the reflection on my own iMovie that Laura and I did by filling in the rubric on the google doc.

iMovie Reflection!!!

In humanities we did a project about Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. Laura was my partner and we chose the pharaoh Tutankhamun. We collected information from sites, books and many more things. We gathered all the info and eventually put it all in a creative way in an iMovie. This project I thought was especially fun because we could make our iMovie as nice as we could. So now the project is finished I have to write a reflection following a rubric about mine, and also about another iMovie.

We had a good introduction about Tutankhamun that included when his started ruling and when he was born. We also had good information about his contribution to Ancient Egypt during his reign. Our iMovie clearly explains Tutankhamun's architectual connection and the religion he developed. The images we used were of good quality and showed what we were talking about throughout the video. I think our voices are clear and loud and we gave our information with appropriate language. There is no backround noice that disturbs our voice-over and you can hear that we have practiced a lot.

One thing that really worked out for Laura and I is that we are good friends and the agreeing over information to put in, to cut out, the pictures and our ideas really worked out for us. But one down side about us being friends is that nearly every minute we would laugh about something for no reason (basically, me). But the main reason I really liked this project is that we had fun doing it and there were no worries at all! Wait, that's not true. We had lots of fun! But there were some worries about the time and not finishing it. But in the end it all worked out of course. ;)

My peer reflection is about the iMovie of Yu Ern and Tem. I chose this one because Yu Ern was the only one who posted there iMovie on there blog! I think they had a quite good introduction, but I didn't really understand the first part. They filmed real life but there was lots of backround noise so I couldn't hear there voices very well.

Sometimes there is some backround noise, but it doesn't always distract from listening to the voices.

We forgot to put our sitations in MLA form and that when we finally remembered, there were too many citations and too little time. So we couldn't get that done.

Part of the assignment is to put the iMovie on our blog but I haven't got it on my computer so I'm going to add it later....

I HOPE YOU LIKED MY BLOG!! ;)
